How the index works
Each response maps a feeling onto 0–100 (Terrified = 0, Neutral = 50, Euphoric = 100). The index is a weighted average of recent responses. Deeper AI use counts more (×√2 per level, so frontier AI work counts 4× no use). Responses fade: half weight after 36 hours, gone after 7 days. A small built-in neutral vote keeps a handful of responses from pinning the needle. Bands: 0–24 Extreme Fear · 25–44 Fear · 45–55 Neutral · 56–75 Glee · 76–100 Extreme Glee.
Age and tech background are collected for research only. Your IP address is never stored, only a one-way hash used to limit votes to one per 24 hours.
